The Pilot
By Faarouq Christian
Every journey begins somewhere you don’t want to be.
And most people run from it.
When you’re at the beginning, the mind is already elsewhere:
• Dreaming of stages not built yet
• Imagining cities you haven’t visited
• Chasing recognition that hasn’t arrived
It’s easy to forget where you are, to overlook it as small, unimportant, or temporary. But the truth is..
You can’t skip the ground beneath your feet.
No matter how far you go, how many paths you take, how many cities or stages you chase, you always end up right back to yourself.
Question is, will you be there for yourself when you get back? Or will you find that when you open your eyes, you realize that your face hurts from being on the ground flat?
We still remember the pilot phase, our first flight.
If this publication is anything, it’s outside of what’s surface level.
In the future, we’ll share the maps, frameworks, and inner lessons from these flights. Only for those ready to step in the cockpit.
So when we say “Flight” or refer to “The Pilot” what do you think it means?
